£9,505 Raised by Billy, Jack & Bill on Epic Tractor Run for #Willdoes

🚜 From John o’ Groats to Land’s End – Three Tractors, One Incredible Journey for #Willdoes 🚜

We are incredibly proud of Billy, Jack and Bill, who have raised an amazing £9,505 for #Willdoes during their inspiring tractor run from John O’Groats to Land’s End in September 2025!

Driving their vintage tractors over 900 miles at a top speed of just 22mph, the lads took on the unpredictable British weather, countless laughs, a few loose bolts, one leaky radiator — and made it all the way to Land’s End in one piece!

This unforgettable journey was made even more special with the final donations coming from:
West Dorset Tractor & Stationary Engine Club
Billy’s cousin, Julie Burrow

Their support helped bring the total to a fantastic final figure of £9,505 – thank you! 🙏

This challenge truly captured the hearts of so many, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible backing of Peter Andrews from Andrews Plant & Haulage, who generously transported the tractors to and from the start and finish lines, and all the wonderful people who offered food, fuel, beds, and encouragement along the way. 🚛💙

“It was a truly epic journey by three amazing young men. I can’t wait to see them again — and hopefully the tractors too — at the #Willdoes Tractor Jam on Sunday 14th December 2025!”
Lesley Paddy, Founder of #Willdoes

What the funds will support

The money raised will go directly to #Willdoes, the charity set up in memory of Will Paddy, who tragically died in 2019 aged just 14. The charity helps young people across Dorset and beyond by funding projects that promote mental wellbeing, resilience, and positive mental health through sport, outdoor adventure, counselling, and community activities.

Every mile driven, every smile shared, and every donation made helps continue Will’s legacy — creating hope and support for young people when they need it most.

A Journey to Remember

From the first sputter of the engines at John o’ Groats to the final triumphant arrival at Land’s End, this challenge has been about more than tractors — it’s been about friendship, perseverance, and raising awareness for mental health.

As Billy put it at the finish line:

“We started this as three mates with three old tractors and a mad idea — and we’ve ended it with a lifetime of memories and a cause that means everything to us.”

Driving vintage tractors with a top speed of just 22mph, the lads braved everything the British weather could throw at them — from glorious sunshine to sideways rain. There were a few loose bolts, one leaky radiator, plenty of laughter, and endless waves and toots from supporters across the country.

What started as a light-hearted idea between friends became a true community effort. Along the route, local families, farmers and businesses offered accommodation, hot meals, and plenty of encouragement. Each stop became part of the story — a testament to the generosity and spirit that fuels rural Britain.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, waved, beeped, hosted, fed, or cheered the lads on. You’ve helped make something truly special happen. 💙
