Ride Overview:
This 9½-mile loop starts and ends at Daggers Gate, taking you through farm tracks, chalk pastures, and quiet lanes with highlights including:
Sea views toward Weymouth and Portland
A track through Holworth hamlet
Views of the Five Marys Bronze Age barrows
A peaceful descent into East Chaldon
A return via Lime Kiln
The route is marked with rainbow tags—double tags indicate a turn, and the direction of the tags shows which way to go.
Please Note:
There are a couple of road crossings and several gates, including a few that may require assistance.
Livestock may be present along parts of the route.
If the overflow field is too wet, parking will be in the farm yard.
Special thanks to Joanne Shaw for organising this ride and the route, and to James Weld and Mike Watkins for making it possible with access and parking.
